What is trauma, anyway?

Big “T” Trauma

Big "T" Trauma refers to significant, life-altering events that are overwhelmingly distressing and typically involve a sense of extreme danger or threat. These events are often perceived as life-threatening or deeply damaging to your emotional well-being. Sometimes exposure to one “T” Trauma event is enough to cause severe distress and impact daily functioning.
